Meagan Strodel, ND
Hello, I’m Dr. Meagan Strodel! I’m so glad you’re here.
I help people of all ages and stages see results with their health. My goal in each appointment is that my patients receive personalized care, a positive experience, and an outcome based treatment plan. I do that by using a variety of “tools” and by taking a thorough history of my patient’s health history and lifestyle. My treatment plans are always comprehensive, and usually involve comprehensive lab testing, a customized nutrition plans, and specific supplements, herbs, homeopathics, and/or IV nutrition, which are all chosen specifically for you based your health goals.
One thing I love about my job is being able to get to know my patients on a deeper level. I believe that by understanding how patients think and move about in the world, the treatments we decide on will be more effective in improving their health.
Throughout my practice, I’ve found that often it is the simple things that help people the most. Because of this, I like to start SIMPLE when possible, and strategize from there. I also really enjoying finding out the WHY – and I am always the “detective” that wants to figure out the root cause of your symptoms.
In addition to working with people of all ages, I also really enjoy helping kiddos, especially when they have chronic issues other doctors have struggled to resolve. I went into medicine because I loved the complexity of chronic disease – the journey involved with helping the body re-establish the ability to heal itself, is one that has always fascinated me, and has touched me personally.
I myself had health issues that couldn’t be “fixed” when I was about 13 years old. Long story short, I began seeing several Naturopathic doctors, and as a result, became well through their guidance and care. After college I realized I needed to become a Naturopathic doctor myself, so immediately after graduation, I enrolled in Naturopathic medical school and have never looked back.
People ask me where I am from, and I often don’t know what to reply. I was born in Florida, raised in New Hampshire, did my undergraduate studies in Human Biology at Biola University in La Mirada, California, completed my medical training at Bastyr University in Seattle, WA, and now I am back down in my favorite town in Southern California. So really, I’m from a few places.
I love San Diego, especially the weather, but I do miss the seasons. Growing up in New England (I am happy to leave the snow and ice behind), I’ve always loved the fall leaves with all their breathtakingly brilliant colors.
Exercise is a huge part of my life, and I enjoy an active gym life and outdoor lifestyle. Fitness-wise, you name it – I’ve probably done it, want to do it, or have it scheduled to do soon! Cooking is also a huge passion of mine, and I’ve been cooking for my friends and family for several years now. I publish the recipes on mutritiousnuffins.blogspot.com
I am really honored and excited to be serving the city of Solana Beach and the surrounding areas. There are so many natural therapies available to approach all aspects of health, and I look forward to sharing them with you.
Together we can reach your health goals,
aka “Dr. Meg”
