Today I am chatting with Brooke Cates and we are talking all about the unique roadmap of pre and post natal fitness for women going through the journey of motherhood.
Brooke Cates is the Founder & CEO of The Bloom Method, a pre and postnatal fitness method, redefining exercise for the modern mom. Brooke is a Certified Personal Trainer, Pre & Postnatal Corrective Exercise Specialist, Diastasis Recti & Core Rehabilitation Specialist and Pre & Postnatal Holistic Health. She created The Bloom Method with a desire to empower women through movement before, during and after their pregnancies. Recognizing gaps in both the mainstream and pregnancy fitness worlds, Brooke created a fitness method that consists of diastasis recti rehabilitation and prevention exercises, labor training, functional exercise movements and innovative core techniques that are designed to keep women strong and thriving through pregnancy and motherhood.

In 2018, Brooke gave birth to two babies- both personally and professionally. In May Studio Bloom was brought into the world — the first ever Pre and Postnatal virtual fitness studio making the education, tools, and innovative fitness classes of The Bloom Method accessible to women everywhere. Later that year, her son Leven Woods arrived and to say that her life has changed since is an understatement. Brooke loves that she gets to be on this journey with other women, both as a mother and as a guide on their fitness journey.

We talk about so many great things in this episode. We talk about the importance of creating a unique roadmap of labor & functional exercises for each woman at the pre-pregnancy, pregnancy & post-pregnancy stages. We talk about why core work is vital during pregnancy.
