As a naturopathic clinic, we place a huge emphasis on the food that you eat. We believe you are what you eat and that your food should be your medicine. Our approach to nutrition is to nourish your body with real food and to replenish any deficiencies we may uncover from your testing.

We have a registered dietitian on staff to help guide you through this process, as it can be quite overwhelming to make dietary changes on your own. The registered dietitian will work with you to customize a healing food plan based on the latest science in nutritional therapy.

At Shine, we believe that there is no one-size-fits-all diet. Therefore, each person receives their own personal food plan that fits their lifestyle, needs, and desires. Some of the diet plans we use include: the Specific Carbohydrate Diet, the Gut and Psychology Syndrome (GAPS) Diet, the Paleo Diet, low FODMAP Diet, the Autoimmune Paleo Diet, Vegan/Vegetarian, Low carb/Ketogenic, and Pregnancy.

We understand that making changes to your diet is hard. The dietitian will go over any barriers (mental, emotional, physical) you have when it comes to changing your diet and will work WITH you to create realistic, lasting solutions.

Your first visit with the dietitian consists of a 1-hour initial consultation. During this consultation, a comprehensive analysis of your current diet and health issues are discussed. You’ll discuss the optimal nutrition treatment plan and the steps you will take to get there. You will leave with a customized plan that will be discussed and revised with each follow-up visit.

If you’re looking for accountability, support, and a customized nutrition plan that takes into consideration your unique needs, please contact our office today and set up an appointment with our dietitian.
